Spur Valley Golf Resort
This pretty course is pleased to be celebrating 15 years of operation
Spur Valley Golf Resort lies just north of the charming village of Radium Hot Springs, B.C. The course is a player-friendly, walkable nine-hole course that features four par 3s, four par 4s and one par 5 and takes approximately two hours to play.
Brandon Csokonay, manager of Spur Valley Golf Resort, said the course has incredible value for players of all calibres.
“The course is very well maintained,” said Csokonay. “It’s challenging but also very open and friendly to juniors and novice golfers. But better golfers can take their families, friends and children out to play here and really enjoy themselves.”
The Spur Valley course opened in 1998 and has undergone numerous changes since then.
“We have changed almost every hole,” Csokonay said. “This year, we’re incorporating a waterfall golf feature as well as a suspended sand bunker. The sand bunker is on the side of a pond that golf balls usually roll into. We are shoring that up so the sand essentially ends at the edge of the water line and is about 30 feet above the water. It’s pretty neat.”
This year, Spur Valley is marking its 15th anniversary. To celebrate, the resort is offering $15 green fees to all golfers every Wednesday for the whole season.
The course also features a driving range that drops 100 feet into the valley below, and a practice bunker and green. As well, there is a restaurant that serves Mexican cuisine, the Luxor Creek Cantina, which has daily specials for golfers who have conquered the scenic course.
