Crystal Ridge Family Golf Centre’s head professional offers his tips

by Lisa Crane

A Pro tip for playing any course:

Most amateurs tend to underestimate distance and leave many of their shots short of the target. Spend some time to learn exactly how far you hit every club and be honest with yourself when you are out playing. Just because you hit a seven-iron 180 yards once doesn't mean you will do it every time.

Playing Crystal Ridge:

If it is your first time playing Crystal Ridge, I would recommend playing to what you can see. There are a couple of holes where you may be enticed to hit with your driver but a wiser play is probably a fairway wood or long iron. All in all, keeping your ball in the short stuff will make a good score much more attainable!
