A great golf getaway
The Keho Park Golf Course in southern Alberta is in a league of its own
The Keho Park Golf Course at the Keho Park Golf Club Facility is centrally located between Barons, Nobleford and Picture Butte in the County of Lethbridge. The course offers golfers diversity in a rare and spectacular setting. Situated on Keho Lake, three of the holes have water play, which brings varying levels of difficulty to the course.
Larry Taylor, the pro shop manager for the Keho Park Golf Course, said one of the most unique features of the course is the lake that touches on several fairways.
“It is beautiful simply because it is by the lake,” said Taylor. “There are not many lakes out here so it is kind of a hidden gem. It plays over the water on three of the nine holes and I think that is always unique. There is a par five and par three that plays over the water and then it comes into play a little bit on a par four as well.”
The Keho Park Golf Course is a nine-hole facility but people are able to play 18 holes on the course. Taylor said they have different tee-off boxes that will make it seem like a totally different golf course.
“They put in the second set of tees because you can play the whites and the blues,” said Taylor. “It is like two different golf courses, it really is—it gives the golf course a whole different look.”
In addition, the golf course and Keho Lake are home to excellent campgrounds, a great restaurant, a pro-shop, amazing windsurfing opportunities nearby and the largest pike fish in Alberta.
