The town of St. Paul is not only home to the world’s first UFO landing pad, but it is also home to Jamie Sadlowski, professional long driver, golfer and ice hockey player.

“Jamie started here as a junior, both golfing and working,” said Jerrid Pasitney, general manager at St. Paul Golf & Country Club. “He is the current world record holder for junior long drive, and when he was no longer a junior went on to win the RE/MAX Long Drive Championship two years in a row.”

Sadlowski still keeps connections to his roots at St. Paul, however.

“He still golfs and helps out around here,” said Pasitney. “He actually holds the course record with a score of 68.”

Sadlowski has competed in over 100 long driving events and demonstrations and aims to beat the current record of five RE/MAX World Long Drive Championship wins. As of 2011 he sits with a personal best long drive of 445 yards.
