Where in the world are Sask’s Graham DeLaet’s golf clubs?

“Ok @AerLingus, enough is enough. I kind of need my golf clubs for @TheOpen. How is it possible to not even know where it is? #figureitout”

Where in the world are Graham DeLaet's golf clubs -- sort of important to know when you are entering one of most important tournaments of your career, a fact he reiterated in the above tweet of frustration.

Saskatchewan's Graham DeLaet is in search of his golf clubs for the second time this golf season.  Thankfully, Titleist on Tour came through with a replacement set of clubs, but you have to wonder how comfortable can DaLaet be playing with a new set of club he's never played with before?

"Big thanks to @TitleistonTour for hooking me up with a set of hooks this morning so I could play a practice round." he tweeted from his practice round. (see photo)

Back in February, DeLaet hit twitter from the Honda Classic in Palm Beach Gardens, that he had arrived at his Florida hotel without clubs thanks that time to United Airlines.

“The guys made me up a quick set here, and everything pretty much matches up,” he told Sun Media. “They didn’t have the right driver head, but I did find out that the clubs are supposed to be arriving either late tonight or early tomorrow morning, so I’ll be good to go at least by Wednesday.”

DeLaet earned a place in the Open Championship with a fourth place finish at the Travelers Championship just a few weeks ago.

The pride of Weyburn, Saskatchewan. DaLaet has never played the Old Course in an Open Championship but the course isn't totally new to him as he has played tournament golf there twice during previous Alfred Dunhill Links championships.

Both Canadians in the field, DeLaet and David Hearn, are looking for their breakthrough win on the venerable British course as they pursue the Claret Jug which is the trophy that goes to the winner of The Open.

“I come in here trying to win the championship. My game feels good, I’ve been hitting it really well and in Hartford I was able to make some putts and I was right in the mix,” he added in the Sun Media interview.

“If I can make some putts I expect to be around on the weekend.”

Let's hope somebody at Aer Lingus helps out in finding his golf clubs by Thursday.
