With TSN and Global TV giving the US Open major play recently, Tourism Kelowna took the opportunity to market their great golf product to this avid golf audience on television.
The US Open turned out to be Dustin Johsnon's to lose and 21-year-old Jordan Speith's to win. It made for dramatic and captivating television viewing.  It was Speith's second major win in a row.

The theme of the Okanagan Golf ad revolved around the concept "I'm your perfect game." See the ad here:

In addition to showcasing the great golf in the Okanagan Valley the television commercial highlighted other popular amenities found in the Okanagan such as the lake lifestyle and the great weather, and a variety of other activities to enjoy like dining, entertainment and wineries.

In a CBC Daybreak interview Tourism Kelowna CEO Nancy Cameron spoke about the fact that golfers are an ideal market for Kelowna.  Golfers are upwardly mobile, in a higher income bracket and though their prime motivation may be golf they are also looking for lifestyle experiences beyond the golf courses as well.

Tourism Kelowna spent some $300,000 on the TV campaign and felt they received over $500,000 in media exposure as a result of the ads being given bonus rotation by TSN and Global.

With every golfer looking for their perfect game, Tourism Kelowna certainly hit the sweet spot with this ad.
