Golf courses tell us what’s new for 2015

St. Eugene Golf Resort near Cranbrook is celebrating its 15th anniversary in 2015.

When we sent out a request for information about when various golf courses would be opening we also asked what’s new at each golf course for 2015 too. Here is a list of what’s new at a number of the courses who responded to our request.

Heritage Pointe Golf Club—Calgary: I wouldn’t say that there is anything “new” to advertise. We have made a bunch improvements and subtle changes but that is all. We are excited to be hosting a Maple Leaf Junior Tour in May as well as the Calgary Golf Associations Best Ball tournament in June.

Cranbrook Golf Course—The Cranbrook Golf Course is celebrating their 100th Anniversary this year which I would say is a huge milestone. Look for special events throughout the golf season.

Greywolf Golf Course—Panorama's new clubhouse is up and running, beautiful functional design finally matches the world class golf course that we are so fortunate to offer.

Kokanee Springs Golf Course—Crawford Bay: Kokanee Springs has added a full service “Adventure” component to our offerings. Hiking, mountain biking and kayaking are the main activities and we will have rentals and instruction available on site. You can see much more info on our website.

St. Eugene Golf Course—Cranbrook: This wonderful tract of fairways and greens running along the St Mary River is celebrating their 15th anniversary in 2015. It continues to be one of the Kootenays most attractive golf courses, both challenging and enjoyable.

Mountainside, Creekside and Riverside Golf Courses, Fairmont Hot Springs

We have lots of new and exciting things happening this year at Fairmont Hot Springs Resort. In terms of golf specials and packages; we will be continuing our popular “Play 45” deal. This promotion allows a golfer to play the Riverside, Mountainside and Creekside courses all in a 48 hour window. The price for this promotion starts at $99.99 and is not valid on long weekends.

New for 2015 we will be introducing customer appreciation days! On Mondays and Wednesdays after 1pm at our Riverside Golf Course we will be offering a $60.00 rate for 18 holes and power cart. Similarly, on Thursday and Sunday afternoons after 1pm at the Mountainside Golf Course we will offer a $50.00 rate for 18 holes and a power cart.

Finally, we will be continuing to offer many adult and junior clinics throughout the summer. Myself (Alec Hubert) and Jeremy Johnson will be the two CPGA instructors providing lessons at our Golf Learning Centre. For those who are unaware, we are the only golf facility in the Columbia Valley using a “Trackman” launch monitor (the most used launch monitor by PGA Tour Pros). This technology allows us to collect data points and make the most accurate assessment of a student’s swing. Gallagher’s Canyon Golf Club—Kelowna: On May 31st, 1980, Gallagher’s Canyon Golf Club opened its doors to the public with the stunning par 72, 18-hole Championship Canyon course. Framed by forested mountains, rocky bluffs, tall ponderosa pine trees and overlooking Gallagher’s Canyon, this Les Furber & Bill Robinson designed course is sure to challenge golfers of all abilities.
