Golfers in Elkford with a taste for Chinese cuisine may be interested to know that the Mountain Meadows Golf Course clubhouse restaurant, C & F Chinese Restaurant, has been serving popular Chinese and Western food dishes on site since it leased the space in 2010.

The fully licensed clubhouse restaurant is owned and operated by married couple Cindy and Fong, and offers special lunch buffets Tuesday to Friday and special dinner buffets Friday and Saturday.

Chinese meat dishes on the menu include ginger beef and sweet and sour pork. Vegetarian dishes on the menu include veggie chow mein.

“It’s weird, but it works,” said pro shop manager Stacie Dixon of having a Chinese food restaurant operating out of the clubhouse.
The restaurant also serves Western cuisine.

“They have good Chinese food, and they have some Western things,” said Dixon. “The hamburger is my favourite. I know it sounds funny. It’s a Chinese food restaurant but personally I prefer the burgers.”

Dixon said the restaurant is popular “with everybody”, and on Urbanspoon a diner from British Columbia rated the restaurant at 100 per cent, commenting that it has “pretty decent food and prices” in March 2013.

The C & F Chinese Restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day. The special lunch buffet runs from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday to Friday and the special dinner buffet runs from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday. For more information call the restaurant at 250-865-2686.
