Maturity at its best

Come discover the beautiful Camrose Golf Course

by Lorna Schiefner

Camrose is located south of Edmonton, AB, located in East-Central Alberta along Highway 13, 7.5 km east of the junction with Highway 21. The Camrose Golf Course was established in 1922, and is owned and operated by the City of Camrose. This mature 18-hole course is open to the public. The Front 9 dates back to 1922 and the Back 9 is relatively new, built in 1983. The course demands a bit of accuracy, due to rolling hills and the small and narrow greens. For those looking for a challenge, the back nine is tricky and demanding off the tee as water is in play on 6 of the 9-holes. One of Camrose Golf Course's most notable features is the beautiful Mirror Lake (which comes into play on holes 4, 5 and 6) and the many swans that make it their home. Whether you are a low handicap or a new golfer, the Camrose Golf Course has something for everyone. The facility offers a well stocked Pro Shop, locker rooms and a spacious restaurant and lounge.
