Hyde Mountain Golf Course
This championship course is located near Sicamous, B.C., the Gateway to the Shuswap.

This course will challenge, scare, punish and reward you. Owner Kim Hyde said it best: “Hyde Mountain will leave you talking about the course for days.” She is absolutely correct.
On entering Hyde Mountain you first notice a small houseboat floating on a pond. It is actually the snack shop. The wide open fairways before you only disguise what really lies ahead. The sixth hole is called Jekyll and Hyde, a name that could apply to the entire golf course. The course is both good and bad, with a split personality. The good part of the course features blind shots, dog legs, cliffside tees, undulating greens, a thick evergreen forest, ravines and massive elevation drops. The bad part of the course features blind shots, dog legs, cliffside tees … etc.
The signature hole is No. 4, par 4, 465 yards with a 247-foot drop from tee to fairway. The name of the hole is Geronimo. Yell that out as you launch your drive into outer space. The view is spectacular of Mara Lake and the Shuswap Mountains.
Hole No. 11, par 4, 338 yards, has an elevated green. Make sure you hit to the back to the green or watch your ball roll back down the steep front slope.
Hole No. 14, par 3, 237 yards, has a vertical drop of a mere 197 yards to the green.
Other holes that cause your heart rate to increase are No. 12 (Mountainside), No. 15 (Cliffside) and No. 17 (Equalizer). The names say it all.
