OptiShot golf simulator

The first time that I got to use a golf simulator, they had to pry me loose. Dancin’ Dogg Golf has produced a virtual golf experience called Optishot. This is a training device that can be set up in your garage, basement, office or backyard and allows you to use your own clubs.
The simulator comes equipped with an infrared optical swing pad, three-dimensional software, a USB cable, foam practice balls, adjustable rubber tees and a quick start guide. If you use real golf balls, you need a strong net. Sixteen optical sensors actually measure your club head through the impact zone and transmit that information back to your computer or television. The simulator records your club head speed, face angle at impact, distance traveled/distance to flag, swing tempo and face impact (heel, middle or toe). You can see the flight of your ball, be it a draw, fade or slice, as well as where the ball lands.
There are two modes to practice. Practice mode mimics a driving range. In Play mode you can select from 22 championship golf courses, like Torrey Pines or Palm Desert.
For around $400, Optishot is a nice addition to your golf equipment and should help you improve your game.
