The Whistler Golf Club’s last day of play was Sunday, October 11th. The course will re-open in May of 2016.

“It was an absolutely amazing season,” said Alan Kristmanson, General Manager. “We had our earliest opening in our history. The golf course was in amazing shape right from the start and of course the weather this summer was incredible”

The Whistler Golf Club’s reputation for hosting exceptional group outings was only enhanced this year. “We did the most group outings we have ever done this season. Corporate outings, buddy trips, charity events and more…it was an awesome summer for sure for groups of 12 or more. It was great to see so many of our returning groups back and hear the great feedback from our new groups.”

Improvements for 2016!

We are currently undergoing a renovation to our tee complex on #3. “We really wanted to take a look at how we could improve the playability of the tee shot and the size of the teeing ground on #3." said Alan Kristmanson, General Manager.

The 552 yard par 5 known as “Hairpin” will now play 570 yards from the back tee and will feature a dramatically enlarged black and blue tee complex. The white tee has been shifted left and enlarged, and the green tee has been moved well left also.

“The entire new teeing areas have been shaped and groomed” said Dave Gottselig, Golf Course Superintendent. “Irrigation has been relocated and we are currently installing drainage. Next spring we will sod the entire new surfaces and improve the landscaping around #3 tee. I’m sure our guests will enjoy the playability of these new tees.”
